Pocket Baby is a fairly new boutique that offers quality handcrafted infant/toddler onesies and tees. Their featured item is a line of solid baby bodysuits and t-shirts that are adorned with a functional but decorative front pocket. I am looking forward to their upcoming lines of infant/toddler dresses and pacifier clips.

My 2.5yr old daughter was lucky enough to receive a Pocket Baby tee to model for us. She was very pleased to be wearing her soft new shirt. When she left the house that day, she was dressed in her new t-shirt, a cute pair of jeans, and Hollywood sunglasses. Then my MIL presented my daughter with this straw hat to complete the look. It wasn't exactly what I had in mind for this photo, but she's still cute, right? :P



What I thought about this Pocket Baby T-shirt:

1) I was extremely impressed with the workmanship. Even after the shirt was washed, the pocket and seams still lay flat and smooth against the body.

2) The t-shirt itself is very soft and constructed of heavy weight cotton.

3) After being washed in cold water and dried in the dryer, the shirt shrank in length maybe one centimeter. It was an insignificant amount and not noticeable at all.

Although I am extremely pleased with the shirt we received, I would love to see more prints offered from this children's online boutique in the future. This was a very high quality clothing item and I would not mind owning two or three different ones.

You Can Make This is an award-winning website that offers a vast selection of sewing and crafting ebooks. There are also books for cooking, woodworking, digital scrapbooking, and much more.


I do enjoy doing simple sewing projects and crafts during my spare time, which I use to have a lot of before we added twins to our little family. Now with 3 children (6 if you count my 3 blogs too) I have not been able to make the time to do any sewing projects. I was both happy and sad to receive the chance to review this ebook for making personalized name pillows. I was happy because it is something that is right up my alley, but I was sad because I knew I would not have time to make use of it in the near future.

What I thought about this ebook from YouCanMakeThis.com:

1) The step-by-step instructions are very clear and easy to follow.

2) I like that the ebook comes with the patterns for the letters. Yes, it would be easy to draw your own, but having the patterns makes all your letters consistent in style, shape, and size.

3) In order to make a name pillow like the ones pictured, you must already know how to operate a sewing machine and at least be able to sew a straight line. I would say that if you can sew a very basic machine-made quilt, then this project will be easy for you.

I look forward to having some extra time to make one of these for each of my children. As I am always saying, I love personalized gifts. How great would it be to give a gift to each family you know with their last name spelled out on a pillow for their living room next Christmas?

It's that time of year again when everyone is thinking about prom season, high school and college graduations.
