Review: Mom Cards For Busy Moms & Dads

This product is a new spin on a classic idea. Business cards do not quite fit for a stay-at-home mom or dad if your only business is changing diapers and playing chauffer. On the same note, calling cards do not fit the lifestyle of busy parents like me because I actually do not have the time to call on anyone in person. More often than not, the best way to get in touch with me is via email and on rare occasions by phone. This is where mommy cards come in.

MomCards came up with the perfect solution for busy moms and dads. They are actually cards that state your name, your children's names, and your email and phone number . . . the four things you usually jot down on a piece of paper when trying to exchage information with another parent at PTO meetings, at the playground, or even at the bus stop.

What I thought about these mom cards:

1) I was very impressed by the quality of the cards for the price. Mine were glossy on both sides and resist sticky fingerprints well.

2) I think that calling this product and the site MomCards actually limits the type of customers who will shop on this site. There are more stay-at-home dads than there have ever been right at this moment.

3) Out of the 19 styles available, I chose the card style shown below. I wanted to have both my husband's and my name on the cards and this was one of the few non-gender specific cards. I definitely think they need one or two more.

4) The ordering process was extremely quick and easy. You just choose the style you like best. Then you fill in your information in the predesignated fields. There is some room to customize the font color, style, and size, but you cannot change the layout or add additional fields. For this reason, I think these cards are perfect for personal use, but I think they would not replace custom designed business cards for professional use.

5) I also like that the website offers the option to print the cards yourself for free.

I think these cards are an easy and affordable solution for the busy parent. After all, we spend most of our lives trying to find ways to save on time so that we can spend more of it enjoying our families. For example, it would be a huge time-saver to include these in my children's birthday party invitations rather than writing out the RSVP information twenty times.
