She Likes: Skechers Jubilee-Verbena Slip-On Shoes

I have been resisting the flat-soled shoe trend for a long time.  Although most flat shoes may be more comfortable, I have been wearing mid to low-heeled shoes for most of my adult life.  Recently, while on a shopping trip with my sister, I saw a pair of  platinum Skechers at our local DSW that I really liked.  They actually resembled my 4 year old daughter's shoes.  They looked like ballet flats, but had an athletic bottom and a diagonal Velcro strap across the top.  DSW did not have my size.  I was so disappointed, but it turned out to be a good thing.  The next store we hit was Marshalls and that's where I saw these Skechers Jubilee-Verbena Slip-Ons.

I liked this style of Skechers much better than the ones I saw at DSW.  First of all these are more grey rather than metallic.  Second of all, I was not too crazy about the idea of wearing shoes that look like children's shoes.  I also love the touch of satin and the pleated toe, which makes this ballet flat with an athletic bottom a little less sporty.  My sister wanted to buy a pair too, but she was out of luck because Marshalls did not have her size.

I wore these shoes shopping for hours the other day and they were extremely comfortable.  The satin elasticized bands that cross in the front kept the shoes securely on my feet.  My husband said these shoes were "different".  I actually think that's what a like most about them.  What do men know anyways?!!
